Is The Bible The Truth?
..
.Somebody said to me a few days ago, “I quoted the Scriptures about healing over and over, but it didn’t work. The sickness didn’t leave my body“.
Can you see anything wrong with this statement?
Does the Word of God fail?
Does God Himself, sometimes DO THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT HIS WORD says He has already done for us? {Remember Psalm 103:3}
..
I also hear the following statement a lot, “God, in His Sovereignty, can choose to not heal some, or can choose to do whatever He wants. He is God and He knows what is best for us.”
.Really?
Did the Words in written form, captured in what we now call a Bible, actually come from the mouth of God, or were the Words actually the thoughts of men?
Born-again believers state the written Words in the Bible are the actual thoughts and plans of God Almighty.
Can God therefore, in His great Sovereignty, change His mind and choose to not perform a Word that He spoke to a man to have recorded in the Bible?
I suppose He could, but then, which Words can we then choose to believe?
Which Words are no longer true for today?
Which words are no longer true for your circumstances?
.
.Can I really stake my eternal salvation on the Words of Romans 10:9 “That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus Is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
.Maybe God will choose to not save me, even though that Scripture states I can be saved through faith and confession.
But, how can I know for certain? Do I have to wait to see or feel that the Scripture is the Truth?
Is God allowed to “be Sovereign” and over-rule a Scripture which He had written down for all to read?
What if God chooses to NOT save me, even though I am believing Romans 10:9 at face value / believing that Scripture to be Truth?
Do you see the dilemma this thinking produces?
.
We will never know WHICH Words are Truth and which Words are not Truth.
It will be a guessing game for the Christian.
.
.God will also prove Himself to be a liar.
Yes, a liar.
Once He stated something, and had it written down for generations to stand on, He would be a liar to pull that Word away, and say “I am not going to perform that Word for you, in this situation. I choose to do the opposite of what I said previously”.
He would be a liar and He and His Words would be untrustworthy.
.
.If we get a contract from a cell phone company that states we get 1,000 free anytime minutes, and they start charging us after we use only 500 minutes, we could yell, “Our contract says…!” and we would win the argument, because we have a binding word or agreement from the cell phone company that we HAVE (present tense) 1,000 free anytime minutes.
What about God’s Word?
Is it a contract? Isn’t it called a “Covenant”?
My Roget’s II New Thesaurus says “Covenant” means “agreement; A legally binding arrangement between parties: bond, compact, contract”.
The Vine’s Expository Dictionary of New Testament Words says a Covenant means “agreement …used in Galatians 3:17 as an alternative to a ‘promise’ “.
.
.God’s Word IS His contract to us.
And God’s Word is a written expression of HIS WILL for us.
He wouldn’t will one thing and say another thing!
And He wouldn’t say one thing and then perform something totally different, either!
Is He a God Who can’t express in Words what His desire and His will is?
And is He a God Who won’t uphold what He has promised by His own Words?
If He starts to do the OPPOSITE of what His Word states, then He is a liar and a contract breaker.
Yet, His Word states that He CAN’T change and His Word states that He is NOT a man that He should lie OR change His mind! Praise God! That’s a beautiful Promise.
It means we can rely confidently on His Words, knowing He WON’T change His mind!
Number2 23:19: God is NOT a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?
Hebrews 13:8: Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever
Hebrews 6:18: …it is impossible for God to lie
*
So, if you think you have confessed or believed a Promise of God long enough, and that it should have manifested as a reality in your life already, which then leads you to think “the Word isn’t working“, YOU NEED TO CHANGE YOUR MIND. Who are siding with? Where did that thought come from? What you are actually saying is that God is a liar, and His Word is not the Truth and that His Word does not “work”.
CHANGE YOUR MIND!
HOLD FAST to the Words of God.
God is NOT a liar and His Promises will always manifest in the natural realm. Keep speaking the Truths AS PRESENT TENSE from your mouth. Don’t be double tongued OR double minded.
Keep speaking the Truth. The Word of God in your mouth is your sword of the Spirit, which is able to change all natural circumstances and bring all thoughts and circumstances into obedience with God’s Words.
And that is the truth!

Hebrews 4:17: …let us HOLD FAST our confession
Luke 8:15: But the seed in the good soil, these are the ones who have heard the Word in an honest and good heart, and HOLD IT FAST, and bear fruit with PERSEVERANCE
Hebrews 10:23: Let us HOLD FAST the confession of our hope without wavering, for He Who promised IS FAITHFUL
James 1:3: …knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And LET endurance have it perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing…But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways

Prayer to pray over your life today:
Father, I choose to believe You at Your Word, no matter what my body, or what circumstances are yelling at me today!
I believe Your Word is more True, and more Powerful, and I choose to believe that Your Words will always over-rule anything negative in my life, and Your Words will cause me to live in victory and health.
Thank You that Your Words are FOREVER settled in heaven. Your Words are Truth. You have even stated in Psalm 138:2 (KJV) that You have exalted Your Word above Your name!
I believe that Your will and Your Words are one in the same.
I put my confidence wholly in Your Words today!
Thank You for giving us Your Words to stand on. Thank You for giving us Your Word as a sharp sword to cut out all the attacks of the enemy on my life today!
I praise You and I thank You for victory, and for peace, and for health. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
