To Fight Off

An Attack Of Sickness

.

Remember that the Promises of God are Present Tense.

The Promises of God are not for us for when we get to heaven….for there will be no sickness there. There will be no demonic temptations or attacks, no hatred or strife in heaven.

The Promises of God, The Word of God, is to be our Sword, in the here and now {Ephesians 6:17} to fight off anything that is contrary to God’s will and Promise for our life.

And so I have written up a sample of a Confession / Prayer that I speak over myself when sickness tries to attack me or my family members.

I add or subtract different Promises as they come to mind, each time I confess the Word over my life.

As you get to know more and more Promises, by reading the Bible daily, you will soon find some favorite Promises to add to the below outline.

As God reveals and unfolds His Promises to you, remember to speak them over your life daily  ….  for the Word of God is your sharp, two-edged Sword, able to pull all strongholds out of your life and out of your thinking  … but you must USE your Sword, in order to see any results!

Praise God, for His great and precious Promises !!!!  Amen  {2 Peter 1:3-4}

Thank You Father, that by Christ’s stripes I WAS healed (1 Peter 2:24);

Thank You for sending Your Word, and healing all my diseases (Ps 103:3);

I resist sickness, in the name of Jesus (James 4:7);

I resist you sickness, and pain, and sore throat, in Jesus name (Mark 11:24);

I take authority over you, and command you to leave my body now, in Jesus name (Luke 10:19);

I am the healed (1 Peter 2:24);

I am whole;
I was healed by Christ’s stripes (1 Peter 2:24);

I praise You, Jesus, that You bore all my sickness and all my diseases in Your very own body, on the tree (Matt 8:17) and by Your stripes I AM healed (1 Peter 2:24);

I am healed by Christ’s stripes;

Body you are healed (Proverbs 18:21);

Throat you are healed (Mark 11:23);

Sinus you are healed, in Jesus name (Mark 11:23);

Thank You, Father, for healing all my sicknesses and all my diseases (Mark 11:24, 1 John 5:14-15);

I believe You at Your Word, because Your Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and by Christ’s stripes I AM healed;

Thank You Father;
I thank You, that You are not a liar;

I thank You, that You are not a man that you would lie, nor the son of man, that You would change Your mind (Numbers 23:19);

I believe You at Your Word,  that once You make a Promise, You see to it that Your Promises are fulfilled in my life (Jer 1:12)

Thank You for Your Word;

Thank You that Your Word is Truth and forever settled in heaven;

I trust You at Your Word, for Your Word is True and Your Word is forever;

Thank You Your Word heals ALL my flesh (Prvb 4:22) in Jesus name;

Thank You I AM healed;
Sickness and disease shall NEVER take hold in my body, in Jesus name;

Sickness and disease can never rule in my body;

Sickness and disease can never take hold in my body, because by Christ’s stripes I WAS healed (1 Peter 2:24);

In Jesus’ name, I AM healed;
In Jesus’ name, I AM whole;
Thank You Father, that Your Words are Truth and forever settled in heaven;

Thank You for sending Your Word and healing me;

Thank You that Your Word heals all my flesh, in Jesus name;

I love You Lord;
I worship You;
You are so worthy of all my praise;

I forget NONE of the benefits of being Your child (Ps 103);
You forgive all my iniquities and heal ALL my diseases (Ps 103);

So I thank You for healing my body now;

I thank You that I AM healed (Mark 11:24);

I appreciate Your love and Your kindness towards me and my family;

I appreciate Your power, which is FOR me, to heal me, to help me, to protect me, and to lead me (Ephesians 1:19);

You are wonderful, Lord, and I love You and praise Your name.

You are worthy of my praise, and I worship You;

I worship You Lord;
I worship Your holy name;
I worship and thank You for sending Jesus;
Thank You Lord, for healing ALL my diseases;

In Jesus’ name.

Amen.

Seeing Is NOT Believing

Categories: What Is Faith? What Is Living By Faith?

.

SEEING IS NOT BELIEVING

.

.

The Bible has much to say regarding how we can see miracles take place in our lives, how we can receive answers to our prayers, and how we are to actually receive anything from God.

I wanted to look today, into a couple Scriptures which aren’t used very often to teach us this lesson …. the lesson that FAITH is the only way in which we get to see God’s workings in our lives.

.
Luke 24

6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, 7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.

Note: even the angels are encouraging these women, ‘Remember what He SAID” …. In other words, “BELIEVE what He SAID. Why do you need to SEE Him alive? Why can’t you simply BELIEVE Him at His WORD?” Even with these women SEEING the tomb empty, they still didn’t believe Christ’s Words and therefore believe that He was alive … they simply wondered who took the body away. They refused to believe Christ at His Word.

.

.

13 And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs. 14 And they talked together of all these things which had happened. 15 And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them. 16 But their eyes were holden that they should not know him. …

21 But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done. 22 Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre; 23 And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive. 24 And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.

Note: The men walking to Emmaus were ASTONISHED at the women’s testimony. They didn’t believe the words, they were simply astonished.
Which leads me to question: Why couldn’t these disciples believe the Words of Christ OR the words of the women’s testimony which lined up with what Jesus taught before He was crucified?

.

.
25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: 26
Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. …

Answer to my above question: Jesus told them what their problem was. Jesus called them foolish, and SLOW to believe. In other portions of Scripture, Jesus calls people HARD HEARTED and REFUSING to believe.

.

.

Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them. 30 And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. 31 And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.

Note how Jesus did not hang around very long, after their eyes were opened to recognize Him. You see, Jesus was still trying to get them to walk by FAITH and not by sight. The more Believers learn to walk by faith in God’s Words alone, the more mature they will be, and not prone to be swayed by feelings, sight, emotions, or circumstances.

.

36 And as they thus spake, Jesus himself stood in the midst of them, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. 37 But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. 38 And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled?

Note: Here we see the disciples STILL not willing to BELIEVE, even as the disciples from Emmaus were presently telling their testimony about how they just saw Jesus alive!

The disciples now have: 1-the Words of Jesus while He was alive, telling them the Son of Man would be raised on the 3rd day, 2-they have the testimony of the women at the tomb, who were told by the angels He was alive, 3-and now the men who were on their way to Emmaus are now giving a third account of Jesus being alive and risen from the dead, and still the disciples present had no joy at seeing Jesus. Just terror. This teaches that if we choose to NOT believe God at His Word ALONE, then even when a miracle does happen right before our eyes, we will be slow to believe or actually refuse to believe.

To SEE first is NOT to believe, as so many like to say. BELIEVING FIRST ensures that we will SEE – or recognize – God’s miracles and power in our lives!

.

The Main Lesson Learned From These Scriptures

.

John 20

24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall SEE in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.

Note: Too many times, this is how Believers feel or react…especially with the Word of Faith teaching. If they don’t SEE a healing immediately, at the first whisper of their prayer, they REFUSE TO BELIEVE the Scriptures which state God heals all our diseases – ps 103:3 – or that Jesus bore all our sicknesses already, in His body on the cross – Matt 8:17, 1 Ptr 2:24.

A stubborn refusal to believe God at His Word will not only ensure that one will not see many, or any, mighty miracles in their lives, but it also brings a rebuke from the Lord.

Why a rebuke? Think of how bold or insulting it is for any created human to state to the Holy and All Powerful, Creator of the Universe, “I just don’t believe You”.

And this is indeed what we are saying, when we refuse to believe a Scripture.

Let’s take the lesson from the Scriptures today, and not have to receive a personal rebuke from our Lord. Let’s make sure we don’t have to hear God say to us, “Why were you so foolish in that situation, and hard hearted? Why did you refuse to believe Me at My Word?”

Instead, let’s choose to humbly receive the Word of God, which is able to save us and heal us, and manifest God’s power in our lives daily. Amen.

Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me” … Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief”

Sowing & Reaping – Giving In Times Of Economic Distress

Category:
The Great Money Question

.

.

Ecclesiastes 11: 1-6

GIVING IN TIMES OF ECONOMIC DISTRESS

.

.

Cast thy bread upon the waters; for thou shalt find it after many days.
{Thought: As you give of your substance — your food, your income — you WILL see it return to you … for this is a Law of God … even as Luke 6:37-38 teaches to give and it WILL be given back unto you, pressed down & shaken together.}

Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth.
{Thought: don’t just give what your first inkling is to give or don’t just give seven portions.
Don’t just give the minimum tithe or minimum first thought that you thought to give, but give a greater portion.
Because the Word is the Truth, and you WILL receive a return from God.
You will receive financial provision back from God, when you are not stingy or hording for yourself – even as Proverbs 3:9 states.
And because you do not know what economic crisis is coming upon the land, you should therefore give now, so that you will be protected in the days of disaster.}

He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap.
{Thought: Therefore do not watch the economic news of doom and gloom, which will bring fear upon you and tempt you to withhold from abundant giving}

In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.
{Or as the NAS puts it:
Sow your seed in the morning and do not be idle in the evening, for you do not know whether morning or evening sowing will succeed, or whether both of them alike will be good}

{Thought: Sow. Sow again. And keep sowing.
Sow portions of seven.
Naw, portions of eight.
Sow in the morning.
Then sow again, in the evening
Keep your sowing up.
Keep giving abundantly.
Keep giving to the poor, the orphans, the widows.
Remember to give to those who teach you spiritual truths.
Give cheerfully, for God loves a cheerful giver.
And then expect God to watch over you and provide for all your needs … always … at all times … no matter what the economy does or threatens to do.

God is your provider.
God is your protection.
God will keep you in days of famine and distress.
God will see that you are fed.
God will see that you are clothed.
God is the lifter of your head.

But keep giving, and don’t be stingy or fearful, so that you can be open to receive the blessings and protection of God.

God is faithful and loving and willing to protect you, to take care of you, and to do all that His Word states He will do for His children!

Hallelujah.

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him.
Fear the Lord, you His saints, for those who fear Him lack nothing.

{Psalm 34}

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to GIVE to him that needeth.
{Ephesians 4:18}

GIVE, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will (men) pour into your lap.  FOR WITH THE MEASURE YOU USE  it will be measured to you.
{Luke 6:37-38}

I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.     They are always generous and lend freely; their children will be blessed.

He who gives to the poor will lack nothing
{Proverbs 28:27}
