Praying The Scriptures For

FREEDOM FROM SIN

Have you ever pleaded with God to remove a certain bad habit or addiction from you?

Have you ever pleaded with God to be free from a certain sin which just doesn’t seem to want to leave you?

Have you given up hope that you can be totally free from certain sins or habits or addictions …. entertaining the thought that we are, after all, just ‘sinners saved by grace’?

If you’ve answered yes to any of the above questions, then I have a Podcast for you.

As I wrote in my Blog Post, entitled,

“A Step-By-Step Lesson Teaching Us: ‘HOW TO STAND’”
{which you can find in the Category: Testimonies”}
I had trouble as a Born Again Christian with sinful bondages.

.

.

I struggled with anger and bitterness, which no matter how much I prayed and asked God to deliver me from, these sins would not leave me.

It seemed God did not care to deliver me from anger, hatred, or unforgiveness, etc, even though His Word states clearly that I am to avoid such sins.

It actually made me quite angry with God.
God Who demanded holiness and purity….
God Who demanded I walk in the fruit of the Spirit and not gratify my sinful flesh ….
and yet God, seemingly, would not deliver me from my sins and bondages.

.

Until ….
Until I read and believed the Word of God in the Present Tense and Past Tense verbiage in which it is written.

When I renewed my mind and thoughts to the FACTS {Truths} that God HAD ALREADY {past tense} freed me from sin {Romans 6} and made me {past tense} a new creation {2 cor 5:17} I found that sin no longer had the grip over me that it once had.

As Jesus stated: When we know the Truth, the Truth shall make us free {John 8:32}

And as Paul wrote: We must put our ‘new man’ on, through the renewing of our minds to the Truths of God’s Word {Colossians 3:10}

{But please remember, it took years for us to have our sin become strongholds in our lives …. and so, just because you pray the Word of God once or twice over your life, don’t be surprised if your sin/bondages/addictions don’t immediately ‘fall off of you’.  KEEP RENEWING YOUR MIND to the FACT that you HAVE BEEN made free from sin, and sin will eventually have no hold over your thinking or your flesh.}

And so, for the final Podcast in my PRAYER PODCAST SERIES, I thought I would ‘pray the Word of God’ and ‘confess the Word of God” over our lives showing us our FREEDOM FROM SIN.

By CONFESSING the Word of God over our lives,

or by

PRAYING the Word of God over our lives,

we will see our minds renewed to God’s Truths;
we will see bondages and habits break off us;
and we will see the Powerful Word of God FREE us as Jesus said would happen, and tear down strongholds in our thinking as Paul taught us.

.

Remember, the Word of God is our Sharp Two Edged Sword …. but the Word of God must be spoken from our mouths in order to be powerful and freeing.

.

.

So please join me in praying God’s Word over your life today.   Let’s pray the Word of God and Confess the Word of God over our lives to renew our minds to the Truths that God already did free us from sin, and let’s remind ourselves that sin shall therefore, no longer dominate us {Romans 6:2,6,7,11,12 etc}. Amen.

Praying The Word Of God

Over Our Lives

.

At the request of a friend,  in January 2009 I started a Prayer Podcast.

My friend had been telephoning me daily  for a word of encouragement, for a reminder on how to Stand On The Word of God for help in her life and thinking, and for prayer.

I love my friend very much, but couldn’t get to the telephone every single day for a one hour time slot, so I sat down at the computer and prayed for 45 minutes into a recording for her.

FAITH started to be built up in my friend and in her family’s thinking
AND
sinful and carnal habits were being replaced with the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

Not only did the Prayer CD strengthen my girlfriend’s faith to believe God at His Promises, but she also started seeing amazing results as she stood on God’s Covenant Promises daily for her husband, for her marriage, and for her children.

Where there was anger and fighting, peace was starting to reign.

Where there was depression, hope took place.

Where there was fear and hopelessness, God’s Promises started taking root in her thought life AND in the thoughts of her children, as she had them listen and pray with the CD as well.

The marriage which was about to end, is still together 1 ½ years after receiving the Prayer CD, and she has hope for her tomorrows instead of grief, hopelessness, and fear.

My friend, who is a worship leader and songwriter, made copies of her personal CD, and took them with  her on her singing engagements after seeing the Power of The Word of God when spoken from her lips on a daily basis, and she started handing them out to people at her meetings who had need  for peace in their homes and in their minds.

My friend, then started receiving telephone calls of restored marriages, restored peace where depression and hopelessness was once ruling, and my friend kept hearing testimonies of general hope and faith restored to  broken, downtrodden Believers.

And so my girlfriend urged me to  put up an Audio Podcast on this Blog … to get  “Praying The Word”  out to any who will listen.

Praying The Word of God has healed a friend of mine from cancer;
Praying The Scriptures has freed a family I personally know, from suicidal attempts and body mutilation;
And Praying and Speaking The Word of God has, as I have written in other Posts, freed me personally from suicide, rage, and 14 years of irritable bowel. .

.

As I have said before, The Word of God is our two-edged Sword, with which we are to do battle in the spirit realm.

But the Word of God just sitting on our nightstand won’t do any good at all, nor will the Word of God silently read in our minds do as much as it can as when it is SPOKEN from our own lips.

For Proverbs 18:21 tells us that death and life are in the power of OUR TONGUES and both Moses and Paul taught us that the Word is nigh us, even in our MOUTHS  (Romans 10:8, Deut 30:14).

So, please be my guest and pray along with me as you listen to my Prayer Podcast.

I simply take Scriptures for different situations, and pray them as Personal Promises, which they are ….. for the Word is God’s Promises for His dearly loved children.

God bless you, and keep you, and grant you the revelation that His Word has Divine Power to pull all strongholds out of your thinking, out of your body, and out of your families lives. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
