We are HEALED because we are FORGIVEN

We are HEALED

because

we are FORGIVEN

.

.Looking through the many healing Scriptures, there is a combined Truth shown to us which is:

Because we are forgiven, we are also healed.

Isaiah wonderfully reveals this Truth to us before Christ even showed up to Israel, when God spoke through   Isaiah stating:

“But He was pierced through for our transgressions,  He was crushed for our INIQUITIES;  The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,  And by His scourging we are HEALED” {Isaiah 53:5 – NAS}

1 Peter 2:24 repeats this Truth when Peter writes:
“He Himself bore our SINS in His body on the  cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were HEALED”
{NAS}

And again this glorious Truth,  that healing and forgiveness go hand-in-hand, is  shown in  James 5:14-15, which teaches:

“Is any one of you sick?  He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord.  And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well;  the Lord will raise him up.  If he has sinned, HE WILL BE FORGIVEN.”

There can be a lot of  condemnation and confusion that comes upon a person who gets sick with a lingering or reportedly ‘terminal’ disease.   I’ve seen the sick question whether or not they have “done something” that has brought the sickness upon them;  If a sickness is upon a now Born-Again person because of their previous lifestyle, it is often stated that “such are the consequences of sin”;   and then of course, we all have heard the statement that the illness “is God’s will” for that person to have it, if the illness seemingly does not depart after prayer for their healing.

All of these thoughts and statements are contrary to Biblical Truth however.

The COVENANT which God has made with mankind is FORGIVENESS AND HEALING.

As we do not have to carry our own sin or iniquity, so we do not have to carry our own illnesses.

Jesus Christ bore our sins and by His wounds we are healed.

*

Jesus became a curse for us

Sickness came because of the Fall of man:   a curse came upon the earth because of sin and part of the curse is sickness {see Deut 28:22, 27, & 35 as just a couple examples}.

But, praise be to Jesus  Who BECAME A CURSE for us, so that the Blessing could come upon us through Him! {Galatians 3:13-14}

Jesus became SIN for us, so that we could be made the RIGHTEOUSNESS of God in Christ Jesus … which is what we are now, when we are Born Again {2 Cor 5:21}

And by His wounds, stripes, beating, and the breaking of His body we were not only made RIGHTEOUS but we WERE HEALED {1 Peter 2:24}.

*

Forgiveness and Healing
go hand-in-hand.

The glorious Covenant that God made with mankind is that “whosoever will believe” will be saved AND be healed.

For “by His wounds you WERE healed” {1 Peter 2:24}.

And by His wounds you are  RIGHTEOUS and FORGIVEN {Hebrews 10:22, 1 John 1:9}.

Amen.

“Praise the Lord, O my soul;  all my inmost being, praise His holy name.  Praise  the Lord, O my soul, and FORGET NOT ALL His benefits –

Who forgives ALL your sins and heals ALL your diseases … “
{Psalm 103:1-3 – NIV}

“Being unable to get to Him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above Him; and when they had dug an opening, they let down the pallet on which the paralytic was lying.  And Jesus seeing their faith said the paralytic, “Son, YOUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN.” …  He said to the paralytic, “I say to you, get up, pick up your pallet and go home.”  And he got up and immediately picked up the pallet and went out in the sight of everyone, … ”
{Mar 2:1-12 – NASB}

God’s Covenant Agreement With Us

Outline Of God’s

COVENANT AGREEMENT

.

.

.

Let’s stand in Agreement with God’s Covenant for us and for our family members.

From Deuteronomy 29:10-14

I thank you Father, for allowing me to stand before you today. I stand here representing my entire family … my husband or wife, my children, my in-laws, my brothers and my sisters.

I stand unwavering, in my Covenant with You, Father, through the blood of Jesus, so that You may establish me and my family members as Your people … a people holy and separated unto Yourself and for Your glory.

I thank You, that You will be God to me and my family members forever, even as you swore to my forefathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

I thank You that even as my forefathers were not perfect in their own strength, yet You showed Yourself faithful and strong on their behalf because of Your Covenant with them.

And I thank You and I praise You, that the same blessing has come upon me in Christ Jesus, because Jesus became a curse for me and my family members, so that the Blessing of Abraham could come upon us, in Christ Jesus! {Galatians 3:10-14}

From Deuteronomy 30:2-20

I also praise You and I thank You Father God, for Your compassion upon me and my family members. I thank You for prospering us and circumcising my heart and the hearts of my descendants!!

I praise You for Covenanting with me for our good and for our prosperity … spirit, soul, and body … and I thank you for making us prosper and abound in ALL the works of our hands!

I believe You at Your Word, and I believe Your Covenant with me is for my family’s good, and that you do rejoice over us even as you rejoiced over our forefathers!

I choose to obey Your voice Lord.
I choose to obey Your commands and Your Words.

And I know that in doing such, You will watch over me and my family members daily, to bless us and to protect us!

I thank You that You have not made Your ways too hard or Your Covenant too hard or mysterious, so that I cannot obey and perform all that You require of me. But instead, You have put your Words into my heart and You have put Your Words into my mouth, so that I can keep all of Your commands, so that I and my descendants may live!

Thank You, Father, for giving us life and blessing, prosperity and goodness!

I choose life today.
I choose Your peace, Your blessing, Your Lordship, and Your prosperity.

And I praise You and thank You for enabling me and all my family members to choose life, and so cling to you, and live!

I give You all glory and honor and praise, for making such an awesome and wonderful Covenant with me, and for calling me and my family members Your children!

In Jesus’ name.

Please remember that even if you are not yet EXPERIENCING the full Blessing and Prosperity of God’s Covenant in your family members, you are then praying this Covenant Prayer by FAITH.

Faith is our ASSURANCE that we have what we desire.

Not that we are GOING TO HAVE, but that we HAVE, right now, what we desire and what God has Promised us.

And Faith is our confidence that we have what we have requested from God {Heb 11:1}.

So remember to mix your faith with your prayer, as you stand strong believing that God HAS made a Covenant with YOU AND YOUR HOUSEHOLD because of the blood of Jesus.

It is God’s desire to bless you with the blessings of Abraham and to bring peace, health, security, and prosperity to EVERY AREA in your life and in the lives of your loved ones.

Praise God for His loving kindness towards us, and His faithfulness to His Promises, Covenants, and oaths. Amen.

2 Corinthians 1:20: “For ALL of the Promises of God in {Christ Jesus} are YES, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” {NKJV}.

Galatians 3:13 & 14: “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us … that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus …” {NKJV}.

Is It A Miracle?

Category: Covenant Thoughts

.

Is It A Miracle?

Or Is It Simply Covenant?

.

.
.

Several weeks ago, I watched an episode of a program entitled, “Against All Odds”.

.

It is a documentary-type series and “a fascinating journey into the history and events of modern Israel, and includes dramatic stories from 60 years of Israel’s turbulent history. Journalist Michael Greenspan interviews military leaders, battle commanders, strategists, and common soldiers on the field who provide their viewpoints of remarkable stories of heroism and bravery.”

.

The episode I recently watched, interviewed a man named EZRA.

.

Ezra made the most awesome statement which I have ever heard … and he is not even a professing Born-Again Christian.

.

When asked if he thought the times in his life in which he was amazingly ‘hidden from sight’ from the British while opposing the British occupation of Palestine, were miracles or not, Ezra calmly answered:

“No, I won’t talk about miracles.
I say it is a Promise.
It is a Covenant.”

.

Wow.

Can you hear the faith in the statement?

.

Ezra counts the move of God in his life as something to be EXPECTED. After all, he has a COVENANT!!!

.

This is an awesome way to look at God and His Promises.

.

Let’s just think about that statement for some time, and let it drop deep into our spirits.

.

Our God, our Father, has made some awesome Covenant Promises to us, as Born-Again, blood-bought children of God. And so we should expect our loving heavenly Father to do what He said He would do.

.

It isn’t miraculous when He moves on our behalf.

.

It’s His Promise to us.

It is COVENANT.

Hallelujah!

.
