Why Am I Still Sick? Conclusion

Why  Am   I  Still   Sick ??

Conclusion

.

.In Conclusion, I have provided the following quick reminder list, to remind us of the steps we need to accomplish in order to receive any request from God.

.

We must:
Speak to our mountains / sicknesses / problems and command them to leave {Mark 11:23};

We must believe what we say occurs {Mark 11:23};

We must believe that we have what we say, at the moment we say it / we must believe we have what we ask for in prayer, the moment we ask for it {1 John 5:14-15, Mark 11:24};

We must continue to always call things that are not, as though they already are {Romans 4:17} and call ourselves healed, or free, or delivered, etc;

We must believe it is always God’s will to heal {Matthew 8:17, 1 Peter 2:24, Psalm 103:3} and believe God will always perform exactly what He has Promised {Jeremiah 1:12};

We must keep God’s Word ever before our eyes to build our faith, so that our emotions, our thoughts, or our feelings won’t distract us from the Truth {Joshua 1:8, Romans 10:17, Mark 4:15-20};

And we must keep God’s Word ever before our eyes, because He is a rewarder of those who DILIGENTLY seek Him {Proverbs 4:4 & 20-21, Hebrews 11:6};

We must resist and cast out all doubt from our thinking, bringing our thoughts in line with Christ’s Word {2 Corinthians 10:5} and resist and cast out the devil from our thinking and from our feelings {James 1:6-7 & 4:7, Ephesians 6:16};

We must mix faith with the Promises of God, in order to receive anything from God {Hebrews 4:2, James 1:6-7};

And we must combine PATIENCE with our faith knowing the testing of our faith is maturing us and producing perseverance {Hebrews 6:12, James 1:2-4, Ephesians 13}.

..

If we will follow the above guide lines and always walk in love towards others and be quick to repent of all sin {1 John 1:9, 1 Cor 11:28-32}, we will see that we will always have the requests which we make of God {1 John 5:14-15} ….. even as He has Promised to us.   Hallelujah! .

..

“This is the confidence we have in approaching God:  that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of Him”
{1 John 5:14-15}

Why Am I Still Sick? Part 6

Is It Always God’s Will To Heal

Why  Am   I  Still   Sick ??

Part 6

..

The following is a common question that I hear:  “Well, I’ve been trusting God’s Word and standing on His Promises, so why am I still sick?”

.As I’ve stated in the earlier lessons, there can be any number of reasons, so I have taken the time to write down some Scriptural reasons as to why one may still be sick, even after ‘trusting God to heal them’.    .

.

Reason # 6 Why People Remain Sick:
Have you been meditating on the Scriptures, and more specifically, the healing Scriptures?

There are two reasons why you must keep God’s Word ever before your eyes and always in your mouth (or more specifically, keep speaking God’s Words from your mouth), which is a form of meditation.

.

.Firstly:

Remember Joshua 1:8?  It teaches, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

.

When breaking this Scripture down, we see that:

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth = keep speaking the Word of God only, from your mouth;  keep your conversation in line or in agreement with God’s Word only, by speaking God’s Word only …. even when someone asks, “How are you”

but thou shalt meditate therein day and night = keep meditating on the Word of God, day and night.  Keep reading it, keep looking at it, keep muttering it from your lips which will keep your heart and mind pondering on it and meditating on it;  and keep speaking  the  Word only,  when you are in conversation with people

for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success = it is only by keeping the Word of God constantly rolling off your tongue, and meditating on it constantly in your heart and mind, that you will have good success.  You will see the Word take root in your life, and bring forth fruit.

.

.

Hebrews 11:6 teaches us that “without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that DILIGENTLY seek Him.”

..Diligence, according to the Vine’s Expository Dictionary of N.T. Words means:  earnestness, zeal or carefulness.

.If we aren’t giving proper attention, earnest attention, or zealous or careful attention to the Word of God in our daily lives, then our faith will be weak, for “faith comes by hearing” God’s Word {Romans 10:17}.

.

.Which leads us to the Second reason why we must continually keep God’s Word before our eyes.

.Secondly:

Our faith grows by hearing God’s Word  {Romans 10:17}.

If we don’t feed our spirit man spiritual food to become strong in the area of faith for healing, then healing won’t come to us.  This is not a condemning statement, this is simply a fact which God wants to get across to His body.

.If we aren’t giving proper attention to the Word of God, we will then be giving too much attention to our feelings, or our aches and pains;  we will be giving too much attention to the fear and negativism which the world simply flows in;  we will be giving too much attention to the ‘natural’ world and not enough attention to the ‘spiritual’ world.

And can we really expect God’s power to mightily flow through us, if we only pick up His Word when we are in trouble, or if we only pick up His Word once per week?

Can we really expect our faith to be ready, strong, and unwavering  to face sicknesses or difficult situations, if we only pick up the Word when we have a need, or if we only listen to a preacher once per week?

.It is our faith which makes us whole, sound, and free;
It is by our faith, that we will receive our prayers answered, and receive the Promises as reality in our lives, which is our inheritance {Heb 6:12, Mark 11:24, Rom 4:16};

By our faith we are healed {Matt 9:22, Mark 5:34, Mark 10:52, Luke 8:48, etc};

And we need faith to cast out devils, and the sicknesses the devils bring {Matt 17:19, Mark 16:17};

We need faith to calm storms in the natural and storms in our lives {Matt 8:27, 1 John 5:4}

And we need faith to move mountains out of our lives which are hindering us from walking in straight paths of victory and abundance {Matt 17:20, Mark 11:23}.

.

Yes, it is by faith that we receive everything from God {Romans 4:16, 1 John 5:4}, but how can we have faith, if we don’t keep God’s Word before our eyes,  to read it and fill our minds and our spirits with the faith inducing Promises?

If we truly understood (or believed)  the riches and freedom Promised to us in the Word of God, then we would want to absorb the Promises daily, to learn of our inheritance, and to build our faith to receive our inheritance.

We must put first things first.

Yes, God is a rewarder,
But He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Love God with all your heart, and all your mind, and all your strength, then love your neighbor as yourself, and keep God’s Word rolling off your tongue and rolling around in your mind, constantly.  In this you will find “good success” !! .

.

..

Because God’s Word IS health to ALL your flesh!
{Proverbs 4:22}
Amen.

The “Conclusion” of this series will follow in the next day or two.

Why Am I Still Sick? Part 5

Why  Am   I  Still   Sick ??

Part 5

Reason # 5 Why People Remain Sick:
Are you getting a little annoyed or cranky at waiting for your healing or deliverance to actually manifest in your life   or   have you given up altogether, from believing that you ARE healed?

.

I’ve seen it both ways with different people.  I’ve seen some get down right mad that “God isn’t healing them” as they stand believing  and   I’ve seen others just shrug their shoulders and give up believing.  They give up on the Promise.  It took too long, therefore, they think the healing or deliverance ISN’T coming.

Whether it be with anger or by just quietly  walking away from the Promise, both personalities give up.

But Hebrews 6:12 teaches us that God does “not want (us) to become lazy, but to imitate those who through FAITH and PATIENCE INHERIT what has been promised.”

The writer to the Hebrews goes on to remind us how “after waiting PATIENTLY, Abraham received what was Promised” {Hebrews 6:15}.

You absolutely MUST get it down deep into your spirit, that God is NOT a liar.  What He has Promised He WILL perform {Numbers 23:19}.  He is watching over His Word to see that it performs exactly what He said it would do {Jeremiah 1:12}.

And James, the half-brother of Jesus who grew up in the same household with Jesus, teaches us that our faith MUST be tested, “because the testing of your faith develops perseverance.  And perseverance MUST finish its work so that you may be MATURE and complete , not lacking anything”  {James 1:2-4 NIV}.

.

Sounds great on paper …. you’ll be made mature and complete and lack nothing in life, as you grow in faith with patience …. but it is much harder to actually walk out in the flesh.

And this point proves to be a HUGE stumbling block for many, as they wait on God’s Promises to manifest in their lives.

They find it difficult to CALL themselves HEALED when their body aches or when the doctor reports that the illness is still present, or getting worse!

They believe it is a LIE to continue calling themselves HEALED.
They believe it is weird or odd to CALL themselves HEALED, when their bodies actually ‘aren’t’.
They think they look foolish or are acting foolish or look like liars,  if they tell people that they are HEALED when it is evident to all around them, that sickness is still attached to their body.

Yet, isn’t this exactly how we are supposed to talk?

Jesus called Lazarus ‘asleep’ when Lazarus was actually dead {John 11:11}.
Jesus called Jairus’ daughter ‘asleep’ when she was actually dead {Luke 8:53-53}.
We are to imitate God as we walk on this earth, and He calls things that are NOT as though they (already) were {Romans 4:17}.
And Abraham our “Father in the Faith” called himself a “Father of Many Nations” while he was still childless AND while he and Sarah were way past the age of being able to bear children.

.

Yes, these few examples show us how we are supposed to SPEAK about ourselves.

We are to CALL OURSELVES HEALED.
We are to call ourselves DELIVERED.

We are to call ourselves FREE.
We are to call ourselves RIGHTEOUS.

And Scripture tell us that we are to continue in faith, patiently and joyfully {James 1:2},  as we wait for the Promise to manifest, without doubting … not staggering or stumbling or wavering at the Promises.  And certainly not grumbling or complaining that any Promise is simply taking too long to manifest.

If we are grumbling, then we actually don’t BELIEVE that we ALREADY HAVE what we have spoken {Hebrews 11:1, Mark 11:23, Mark 11:24, 1 John 5:15, etc}.

So, we are to believe that all of the Promises of God are ours in the Present Tense (Lesson 3);

We are then to speak to the sickness or any other difficulty or bondage in our life and command it to go (Lesson 1);

We are then to believe we have exactly what we say (Lesson 2);

And then we are to wait patiently and joyfully for the Word of God to manifest in the natural realm (this current Lesson).

.

The Word is DONE in the spirit realm, once you have prayed or command a bondage to depart {1 John 5:14-15} …. now just wait patiently for the Word to appear in the natural realm.   Your FAITH is your PROOF that you HAVE what you are waiting for {Hebrews 11:1}.

Amen.

______________

Let us hold on to the CONFESSION of our hope without wavering, for He Who Promised is faithful
{Hebrews 10:23,  HCSB}

Let us HOLD FAST the profession of our faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that Promised;)”
{Hebrews 10:23, KJV}

Whosoever shall SAY … and shall not STAGGER in his heart (not waver through unbelief or doubt), but believe that whatsoever he saith shall be done; it shall be done unto him
{Mark 11:23,   Douay-Reheims Version}
